$1,500 Scholarship

Applications open March 1 and closes midnight August 31

The Dental Hygiene Scholarships are awarded to students enrolled in a dental hygiene program accredited by CODA. Eligible applicants must be in good academic standing, actively participation in both academic and extracurricular activities, and demonstrate outstanding character by exhibiting genuine concern for the well-being of classmates, patients and the broader community.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Demonstrate financial need.
• Be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
• Be currently enrolled in a CODA accredited program dental hygiene program
• Be in good academic standing
• Demonstrate meaningful community service and extra-curricular involvement.

Scholarship awardees must submit:

• A brief quotation expressing appreciation
• A 30-second video message within 30 days of notification.
• This content may be used on the NDAF website

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit:

• Official dental hygiene program transcript
• Curriculum Vita (CV)
• Professional photo
• A letter of request for consideration (maximum 500 words) outlining financial need, active involvement in NDHA and community service, and the personal qualities and experiences that make you eligible for the scholarship.
• Two letters of recommendation.
  • One must be from the Program Director.
  • One must be from a current NDHA member
  • Recommendations from family members, relatives, and students are not acceptable.
• A completed Photo and Video Release Form
