
Advancing Futures Scholarships

$1,000 Scholarships for 2nd / 3rd / 4th Year Students
Applications open March 1, and closes at midnight May 31
The Advancing Futures Dental Scholarships are awarded to second-, third- or fourth-year students who are active members of the Student National Dental Association (SNDA). Eligible applicants must be in good academic standing, actively participation in both academic and extracurricular activities, and demonstrate outstanding character by exhibiting genuine concern for the well-being of classmates, patients and the broader community.
Eligibility Requirements and Criteria
- Demonstrated financial need.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Must be enrolled as a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year dental student in good academic standing at a U.S. dental school accredited by ADA/CODA.
- Evidence of community service and extra-curricular involvement .
- Must be an active SNDA member with proper documentation (local or national).
- Scholarship awardees must submit a quotation and 30-second video expressing their appreciation within 30 days of notification. This content may be used on the NDAF website and other publications.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit the following:
- Official dental school transcript
- Curriculum Vita (CV)
- Professional photo
- A letter of request for consideration that summarizes your research experience and notable graduate/professional school achievements.
- A letter from SNDA national or local president stating your current membership status.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- One must be from Faculty Advisor or Dean of Students Affairs.
- Recommendations from family members, relatives, and students are not accepted.
- A completed Photo and Video Release Form
