John T. Daniels II, DDS
President
Dr. John T. Daniels II Is a graduate of Howard University College of Dentistry. After many years of private practice, Dr. Daniels is a Clinical Professor at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. He is also a Past President of the National Dental Association, and a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the International College of Dentists.
Loren D. Alves, DMD
Vice President
Dr. Loren D. Alves was a 1979 graduate of Washington University School of Dental Medicine. He then served in the US Army for twenty two and a half years (COL-R), then practiced in San Antonio Texas as the first African American board certified pediatric dentist, until 2015. He joined the faculty of East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine as Clinical Associate Professor, retired in 2021. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentist, the Institute of Diversity and Leadership, the American College of Dentist, the International College of Dentist, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Jacinto W. Beard, DDS
Treasurer
Dr Jacinto Beard is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He is the National Dental Director for Molina Healthcare Inc., a Fortune 500 Company, that is focused exclusively on government sponsored healthcare programs for families and individuals who qualify for government sponsored healthcare. Dr. Beard founded two successful dental practices during his career and provides consulting services to healthcare agency's. He actively participates in several dental organizations and is a Fellow member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American College of Dentists and International College of Dentists.
Dr. Daphne C. Ferguson-Young, DDS, MSPH, FICD, FACD
Secretary
Dr. Ferguson-Young is a Senior Dental Consultant with DentaQuest/Sun Life, a dental insurance company which is part of Sun Life’s board insurance products. Dr. Ferguson-Young received her dental degree from Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN in 1979. She pursued a Hospital Residency at Meharry Medical College at Hubbard Hospital. She also received her Master of Science in Public Health at Meharry Medical College.
